Raytheon Solipsys Demonstrates Information Fusion Capability
For Immediate Release
07/14/2008
Raytheon Solipsys recently demonstrated its information fusion, tracking, and display capabilities to attendees of the Law Enforcement Equipment and Technology Expo, May 13-14, 2008, in El Paso, Texas.
Information feeds consisting of air traffic, video, GPS tracks, seismic, weather, and other sensor data gathered locally in El Paso were combined with remote video and sensor feeds from Fulton, Maryland, to create a near-real time Common Operational Picture (COP) in the Raytheon Solipsys Tactical Display Framework (TDF) product. The Decisive Interface Box System (DIBS) by Decisive Analytics Corporation (DAC) provided combined, unattended ground sensor data and camera feeds to TDF. Additionally, DAC’s RF-based sensor combination software was integrated into Tomcar, a ruggedized off-road vehicle in use worldwide by civilian and military customers.
The ability to fuse information from disparate sources into a Common Operational Picture addresses a critical need identified by First Responders, Homeland Defense, and Civil Defense organizations. The Raytheon Solipsys information fusion, tracking, and display capability is based on proven, fielded technology and is expandable to include additional communications equipment and computer hardware for data storage and applications hosting.
